A hand-painted resin sculpture by Whatshisname.
Initially a parody of contemporary artist Jeff Koons whose work sold for nearly $60m at auction, these cheeky and rebellious hand-painted sculptures by Whatshisname began to adopt the behaviour of real dogs; modelled after his own three pets. Drawing inspiration from his iconic POPek pieces, the Happy Leaf Dog is an experimental concept for the artist who plays with texture to add a different feel to the sculpture. Consequently, the aim of this piece is to evoke pure joy and happiness by merging the leaf texture with the natural yet hilariously exaggerated behaviour of dogs. On its own base, the resin sculpture was hand-painted by the artist and further resined over the top.
The raw humour and joy evoked from this hand-painted resin sculpture is the perfect addition to any space. Discover more about the mysteriously named or alternatively shop his full .
